More Ming

Too bad you can't see her -- she's really cute!

Ming is about 10 lbs. She's a very polite dog. She only barks when playing with other dogs or when she's put to bed and she isn't ready for sleep. Because kids are closer to her height, she loves playing with them. Her favorite game is fetch, which she would play all day, as long as she has a partner and something she can get her small mouth around.

This is how she looked when we got her in January of 2001. She comes from a champion line of Shih tzus, so it is traditional to keep her hair much longer. We prefer it shorter, though.

Here is Ming with one of her favorite toys. We're not sure if it's a chicken or a duck, but Ming doesn't seem burdened by this lack of clarity in species.

Here's a more recent photo of Ming, under our coffee table. Once again, she's with her favorite toy, although in this case, it's a new copy (the old one got a little soiled after too much use). Ming's expressions have become understandable over time. This one is saying, "Let's play fetch!"
